Inflation

quarter
for your thoughts,
crescent moon

undimmed by autumn
the trees remain verdant
yet the days darken
now you have gone far away
even so, my love blossoms

after the weekend
last tree almost finished trimmed
flower beds deleafed
they sit solid
as Buddhas:
fallen apples

Flight

Passing, in the rain,
flock of geese in the field
ready for take-off

end of summer
a cocoon rides the wind
her empty room

lonely man walks
by the tombstones
among dead leaves
evening lamp -
the faint buzz
of the autumn fly

such mellow autumn

even this greying day shines

Yeah Buddy...

gold mine on craigslist
folks need to cull their garden
and want to share

Road into mist

the road dissolves into dirty white,
as the morning unfolds
